NOAH WAS A PREACHER OF RIGHTEOUSNESS. Noah {Rest} ministered to those of his time by warning them of the impending judgment. Social life was at a peak in his time. It was a time of eating, drinking and getting married. Lk. 17:26 Noah, surely, was the topic of conversation in his day in the coffee and tea shops as well as in the restaurants. Noah, the funny man. Preaching the end of the earth by flood and building that strange looking ark. The Spirit of the Lord ministered through Noah. He was the eighth (number of resurrection) from Adam. 2 Pet. 2:5 The Spirit of the Lord allotted one hundred twenty years {the end of all flesh} for the people of that generation to come to repentance and change their sinful ways. The Spirit of the Lord was active in dealing with them. It is important that we see the operations of the Holy Spirit even in the Old Testament. Gen. 6:3. Noah, by his faith in God brought condemnation on the world that was then in existence. His manifestation of faith was sufficient witness to the peoples of that day. His faith made him to be an heir of the righteousness which comes by faith. Can there be a stronger witness than that which was given in that day? A man of righteousness, manifesting faith in the living God. His life and faith created both a judgment and a sentence of the ungodly of that day. There is no second chance.
